Mats create the space your art needs

Matboard creates a space between the art and glass to protect artwork from moisture. Mats also give the art object the visual space it needs to best present itself.

Conservation Framing

Protect your art item by trusting our professional custom picture framers skilled in using the correct conservation materials for the art item. Knowing when to use materials free of acid and other harmful impurities is an essential of good frame design.

About Us

Founded in the 1970's, the custom frame shop was purchased by Jeff King in 1991. The shop embraced the proud history of excellence and retained its master custom picture framer Leonard Tufts until his retirement in the late 1990's. The King's Custom Framing evolved and continued to adopt the most innovative advances in the industry. In June of 2022, The King’s Custom Framing was purchased by James Stalnaker, a U.S. Marine Corps retiree. While stationed in Okinawa, Japan, James learned the art of custom framing from a local where everything was done by hand. The summer of 2025 brought new changes when Josh Engle, a U.S. Air Force retiree, took the reigns to continue the outstanding legacy that has been built. Along with the staff, The King’s Custom Framing can tackle your toughest challenges and create the perfect setting for the items important to you.

Meet the Team

Josh

After 20 wonderful years serving in the U.S. Air Force, Josh jumped into the fabulous world of custom framing. He enjoys keeping the legacy and reputation of The King’s Custom Framing running strong and continuing to build ties in the community with our great customers!

Jamie

As an artist herself (check her out at www.jamiloomisphotography.com), Jamie loves working with the customers and being able to elevate their art to complement their style. Her years of experience show in both her design and the detail in building of the pieces that you love!

Ashley

While digital design and corporate marketing are where she spent years honing her skills, her passion for all art (and small businesses!) landed her here on our team. Ashley has an eye for bold designs and is always excited to take your framing to the next level!

Riley

While you may not see him in the front at the design counter as much, Riley is mastering the art of framing in the back workshop. His attention to detail and strive for perfection are the things that ensure your complete satisfaction with the finished product!

Carla

Working behind the scenes, Carla keeps us on track with our administrative tasks. Don’t let her fool you though, she has a great eye for design and you may catch her up front collaborating on a project!
