Mats create the space your art needs

Matboard creates a space between the art and glass to protect artwork from moisture. Mats also give the art object the visual space it needs to best present itself.

About Us

Founded in the 1970's, the custom frame shop was purchased by Jeff King in 1991. The shop embraced the proud history of excellence and retained its master custom picture framer Leonard Tufts until his retirement in the late 1990's. The King's Custom Framing evolved and continued to adopt the most innovative advances in the industry. In June of 2022, The King’s Custom Framing was purchased by James Stalnaker, a U.S. Marine Corps retiree. While stationed in Okinawa, Japan, James learned the art of custom framing from a local where everything was done by hand. Since 2002 James has been framing pictures, diplomas, needle point, shadow boxes, fine oil paintings, and prints. Along with the staff, The King’s Custom Framing can tackle your toughest challenges and create the perfect setting for the items important to you. Visit us to learn more. Consultations are always complimentary!
